Man, I love those high end Yamaha Kits.

Having built up a nice collection of Cymbals for myself, if the money ever presented itself, I think i'd be looking at a yamaha maple set.

Loving the two up, two down look.

The finish is called vintage natural as I can recall. I have the 14" tom exposed to daylight in a window while not playing it and it gets darker slowly..
Very strange, most things exposed to sunlight tend to get lighter, like bleach blonde hair.

Great drums. I love the Yamahas. I'm actually looking for those in a bebop kit.
I do have to ask about that Tama hihat stand; I have to cymbals stands that match, if you plan to sell it let me know (or if you're looking for stands).

wood is an odd one.. wood gets noticeably darker with exposure to sunlight. Look at a few pairs of old speakers on ebay where the grilles have been left on in a bright room.. the area under the grille is always much much lighter.

Castle speakers with their choice of veneers were always quite bad for this

The hihat stand is not mine, belongs to the church where I rehears. I'm not very fond of it, it's quite worn out, jerks and squeals.. Look at ebay, I know those aluminum stands were sold together with the old tama superstars.

Thanks Dino! I have more Genista pictures in this thread:
