What's your "day" job?

Whats a day job! Like removing heads and all hardware and cleaning shells and repacking lugs. I do that every 2 years or so, so yeah thats my day job every two years. I used to practice drums alot but I got so damn good I don't need to cause its embarrassin' to be outstanding at times!!! Oh yeah I nap alot and dream alot tooooooo!!!!! Elvin "Doc" Jones.

I'm a Wholesale Merchandiser at an international footwear manufacturer/distributer/retailer. I like my job - I wish I could play for a living, but I'm quite passionate about the footwear industry.

I was a full time college student, then stopped going to college after 2 years, worked at a factory for 6 months I loved that job, quit the factory now getting ready for private drum lessons to prepare myself to try to gain admission into a music school

I work for the government of California shoving papers from one side of my desk to the other.
I work for the DMV and got tired of getting yelled at by customers in the field office so I promoted to headquarters. I now write reports and answer letters. I hate it. Sitting in a cubicle for 8 hours a day sucks. My back hurts from sitting too much and the more I do the more I realize how much government money we waste on crap. By the time people get to a level where they can go something about it, they don't care anymore. I hate the fact that I spend all day and expend all my energy into something that has nothing to do with my life. I hate that I can't get a better gig because I have no flexibility in being able to gig. I can't leave early on Fridays to get to a club, or take a couple of days off to go to a casino gig. I'm thinking about quitting and trying to gig and give lessons. We could live on what my wife makes but it would be tight. I'm just not sure I want to be that irresponsible. I also don't want to be this miserable for the next 30 years until I retire. By then I will be too old to gig much.

I have always found it strange and actually terrible that offices in America consist of bloody cubicles treating workers like drones. I don't think any other country in the world has that system, offices here have the desks of workers directly put next to one another, so that human communication is at least possible.

Don't be a drone in the system. Be yourself with whatever you do, you're not doing anyone a favor with this. Quit your job man.

That's pretty cool, best of luck and success.

I'm a web developer for a regional sports network. It's a great job and this company makes more money every year, but I'd rather play music for a living.

I'm an attorney - haven't decided how I feel about it yet. Interestingly, I almost became a Reverend - went to seminary before law school.

I am a Critical Care Registered Nurse, working in Intensive Care. I was a male escort for female clients while I was at university.
