Favorite local drummer?

In the Atlanta area, it is definitely Eddie Gray. He currently plays in a band called "The Ratz" - formerly "Ratz in the Attic".

Eddie was the original drummer for Travis Tritt (when Travis was first signed to a record label), and played with him many years. He has also played with David Allan Coe.

Great topic. I love this older guy, Mark Groom. Plays for Jimmy Beaumont & The Skyliners, a local act that made it big in the late 50s/early 60 with "Since I Don't Have You". Mark wasn't their original drummer but he's great nonetheless. A real old school type. Simple 4 piece. Makes his own drums too and released this video years back about getting like 100 sounds out of a cymbal). Nice guy. His wife also sings in the current version of the Skyliners.

A few years back I would of said Steve Gadd but since he's moved I'll not single out any of the incredible drummers in my local area. They are all much better than me and I have learned from many of them.

Lynch Radinsky, my drum teacher and is seriously unbelievable. One of the most versatile drummers I have ever seen

I'll second that! I saw a drum solo he did that was on youtube, he's the real deal! His wife is an outstanding singer too.
