I thought that I'd throw mine on here while I still have them.

Gretsch Renown series in a Cherry Burst finish.

22"x 18" Bass drum

8" x 7", 10" x 8", and 12" x 9" rack toms

14" x 14" and 16" x 16" floor toms

14" x 5 1/2" matching snare

Cymbals are all Sabian HHX Evolutions except for my right hand ride wich is a Hand Hammered 21" Raw Bell Dry ride. Since these pictures were taken, I've added a 10" Evolution splash above and in between the 14" and 16" floor toms.

The throne is made by Tama and all other hardware is either Tama or Ludwig. The pedal shown is a Pearl Eliminator, but a year ago it was replaced with a Trick Pro1V.

I just added a second drum set to my studio: Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz drums in gloss natural finish. It's a small, easy-to-transport kit that will fit in my car, enabling me to play local gigs while keeping my huge, double-bass Yamaha Recording Custom kit in the studio for my drum students, for rehearsals and for recordings.

This small but powerful drum set sounds--in a word--sweet!

Catalina Jazz in Red Rustic Pearl
About my snare stand(?)
My band-mates in their infinite wisdom moved my snare stand to our other rehearsal space, so I had to improvise!

I ordered this a few weeks ago.
Paul Cooper at the Gretsch factory posted this photo of my drums on the Gretsch Drum Forum today.

Gretsch USA Custom 18/12/14 in Champagne Sparkle
Vintage BD Spurs/Naked BD/Vintage BD T-Rods&Claws and Vintage FT Leg Plates.
A couple of other special features that will be a surprise when the drums arrive.

I have a Gretsch 4.5x14 snare drum in Champagne Sparkle (125th Anniversary) that I can use with these drums.

I don't have any idea of the time it will take for them to get from the Gretsch factory in Ridgeland SC to Long&McQuade Music in Nanaimo BC Canada. I'm ejoying the wait so far.........part of the fun is the anticipation.

Are those special features BD cymbal mount and Maxwell's rail consolette, maybe?
Man, this set is stuning! Very good taste. Congratulations.

Love the set. Love the color. Love the retro lugs and t_rods. Nice job Kona.
