Here is another one for my stable. 7X14 Walnut stave with a wafer thin mappa burl maple inlay, puresound 24 brass strainer, allstar posts with polished aluminum tubes, DW 3 way butt and throw off, die cast hoops. This was my first ever attempt at an inlay, not perfect, but I am happy still with the result, sounds good too.

Another walnut stave, this one was covered with some thinly sliced maple burl. The veneer had some dips and valleys, filled and sanded many many clear coats to smooth it out, became futile really, but looks pretty good from 10 paces.

And I finally finished this birdseye maple snare, installed the vent, matched the tension rods and I drilled and put tiny gold wood screws through the claws so they would be supported better under pressure.

Dude, you are the Larry Flynt of drum porn. Just mindblowing. Where do you sell this stuff? How much do you charge for something?

part of my beautiful sonor delite kit.

Crazy! Never seen anything like that.

As the originator of this thread, I have taken on the role of determining what qualifies as a natural finish.

This qualifies! As long none of the wood is stained, dyed or artificially colored, then it is a natural wood finish. Even if several woods are somehow sliced up and pressed together like this apparently is.
