What's in your cymbal bag?

So, what do you guys take to gigs or what do you just keep in your cymbal bags in general?

In mine I usually take :
21" A Sweet Ride
18" A Custom Crash
16" Agean Crash
14" Sabian XS20 hats

Sometimes, I take a 12" splash, but not often.
on a cymbal hunt at the moment, but can't really find anything nice apart from K Custom Hybrids which are expensive. :(

I have a few "sets" I take out. The one I took out last weekend was:

22" K Light Ride
19" K Dark Crash
18" Sabian Vault Crash
16" Sabian HHX Evolution
15" 1950s A thin hats

...quieter gig in a large, live room. I needed some cymbals that were very light, quick to respond/open up, and full of tone at quiet volumes.

Two bags:

Metal setup:

14" Rude bottom over Z Custom Master Sound bottom Hats
17" Z Custom Med Rock
17" Z Custom Rock
18" Z Custom Med Rock
19" Z Custom Rock
22" Power Slave Ride (not Sig series)
20" K Custom China

Funk and all else non-Metal:

13.25 K Custom Hybrid hats
14" K Custom Fast
17" K Custom Fast
17" K Custom Dark
22" K Custom Vintage Ride

Just scored the Hybrid hats and really excited about them. Two of my Ks were used from a friend of mine who needed cash, they were in very good condition and saved a bunch of $ on the purchase!

I carry all my giging cymbals with me no matter what set up I choose to use. It consists of:

21" Sabian Raw Bell Dark Ride
20" Paiste 602 Medium Ride
16" Zildjian A Crash/Splash
14" ditto
8" Sabian splash
pr 15" Zildjian A hats

Occasionally I add another cymbal or two for special gigs.

Yes, it gets pretty heavy.

The 14" New Beats for sure.

For the ride sometimes it's the 21" AAX Stage Ride, but more often it's the 22" A Medium

Zildjian crashes: 18" A Custom Projection, 19" A Custom Crash, 20" K Crash/Ride (thinking about flipping the AC Proj for a regular AC Crash...)
Sabian crashes: 18" HHX-Plosion, 20" AAX Xplosion, and I just won a 19" HHX-Plosion so it'll be fun to see where that fits in to the mix.

I also have a stack that I've been dragging around for the last 20 years: 18" K Dark under a 17" Signature Full Crash. Both have long since broken and large chunks are missing. I'm toying with the idea of getting an 18" vented cymbal to replace them, though. Either an A Custom EFX or an AAX O-Zone. Haven't decided yet.

Yeah, these all make the bag(s) pretty heavy, so I usually have to do some coin flipping to get it down to 3 crashes and a ride before loading out to a show. I'm usually mixing the Sabians and Zildjians so the number of combinations gets pretty outta hand and deciding gets tough. But I'm usually wanting an 18,19, 20 crash setup so that helps.

Just checked, 8 cymbals, 2 high hats, a couple drum keys, some lint and a 1/2 pack of export rolling papers...lol

20" sabian aax stage ride
16" sabian aax-plosion crash
10" sabian aa splash
18" sabian hh crash ride
12" sabian aa splash
17" sabian aa rock crash
16" sabian aax stage crash
19" sabian aax-treme chinese
14" sabian aax stage hats

They all fit in my padded sabian bag and are all used in my set up.

Looked at Murat Diril cymbals? ADC in Liverpool have a great selection and decent pricing. Very good on the phone, too.

I'm even simpler! I only take my 14" New Beats, 18" A Thin Crash, and my 20" K Custom Dark Ride. That's all I need.

I'm debating going even simpler and getting a 19" Sabian Omni to replace both the aforementioned ride and crash....

Cymbals in my bag:
14" Zildjian K Custom Dark hats
16" Sabian AAXplosion crash
18" Paiste Giant Beat crash/ride
20" Paiste 2002 Ride

Other stuff I carry in my cymbal bag includes:
Tambourine (hi-hat stand mountable)
3 drum mics w/cables
Stick bag tucked into the rear compartment.

Cymbals:
6'' Zildjian Avedia Brilliant splash (block letter era)
10'' Zildjian K Brilliant splash (block letter era)
13'' Zildjian custom K brilliant & notched bottom, regular top (block letter era)
16'' Zildjian K Medium Thin crash
18'' Zildjian K Medium Thin crash
18'' Zildjian K EFX
18'' Zildjian custom K ride (block letter)

cymbalstand sleeves (you don't wanna know how much stands I find without them and my expensive cymbal set doesn't like metal on metal) including felts.
sticks, mallets, rods and brushes (when not taking the big stickbag)
pen
paper
light shaker

And in a few weeks: EXA Ltd. cymbal quick release tops (so glad these babies came out)

18 inch K Session crash 2008
16 inch zildjian crash 50s
14 inch zildjian hi-hat Early 60s

Lately it's been rock `n roll time: 14" Armand hats, 18" & 19" A custom crashes, 20" K heavy ride and a couple A splashes (6" & 8") inverted on top of the crashes. A 12" Oriental trash china sometimes makes it on there as well.

All Zildjian A's for me.....

14" New Beat Hi-Hats
12" Splash
16" Medium-Thin Crash
16" Medium Crash
18" Medium Crash
22" Ping Ride
20" China Low......I use a Wuhan 18" China at home but the damn thing won't fit into the cymbal case with it's large, knobby, bell. So it stays home.

When it's time to upgrade and buy new cymbals, I'll go with a 20" Ping Ride and an 18" China. Maybe even drop that 18" Medium Crash to a 17"......when I bought these big cymbals back in 1999, I was into metal more. Recently, I ditched the 2nd bass drum, went to fusion size smaller drums....... may as well scale back the cymbal sizes too. :D
