Need some advice for jazz heads

I am currently putting together a jazz kit, 18" bass drum, 14" snare, 12" rack tom and 14" floor tom. I would like to have your advice on what heads what best suit these drums and the jazz genre best.

Thanks

That little kit is just too cute and great playing Jackie!

Ambassador or G1 coated over Ambassador or G1 clear is my choice for toms
Same with the snare batter. Amb or G1 coated.
Classic head combination.

Bass I use a coated PS3 with a Fiberskyn thin Diplomat weight head in front.
I use a felt strip to dampen the Fiberskyn.

For toms and snare drum batters
I prefer the Aquarian Modern Vintage heads, especially once they get played in a bit. Nice warm sound, good rebound and outstanding coating. I prefer the mediums to the thins . The Aquarian Texture coated are really nice too.

I also like the Evans J1 etched heads, they do mark up easily and they are not as durable and more prone to denting than the Aquarian Modern Vintage. The Evans G1 are nice too.

I have used the Remo Fiberskyns and jI find they are bit too muted and they are not as nice with brushes as the Aquarian Modern Vintage or Aquarian Texture coated or Evans J1 etched. They also have a tendancy to delaminate on occasion.

For bass drums

I like in order of preferrence:
Aquarian Modern Vintage with attached felt strip
Evans coated single ply EMAD with the smaller foam ring installed.
Remo Fiberskyn PS3 bass drum batter.

+1 for Aquarian Modern Vintage.

I like the general timbre of the head and the texture is for me, more useful for nuanced brush playing. I have an MV (medium) on one of my snares right now.
