What was the last CD (or Record) that you bought or had bought for you?

I think it was The Complete Recordings by Robert Johnson. That's an album everyone who is interested in music should own, really.

Parallel Realities - Jack Dejohnette (upgraded to cd from cassette finally).

Stravinksy - The Rite of Spring/Firebird
And Ralph Vaughn Williams - Job/The Lark Ascending

Now it's 3 times Miles: Kind of Blue, Sketches of Spain and Porgy & Bess.

I also ordered the new Derek Trucks Band Album, "Already Free", but it's hasn't arrived yet.

I went on quite a spree and bought;

Rob Dougan: Furious Angels
Pendulum: Hold Your Colour
Ministry of Sound: Anthems I and II
Faithless: Greatest Hits
Lady Gaga: Fame

The other day I picked up...

Eagles of Death Metal - Heart On
Mogwai - The Hawk Is Howling
TV On The Radio - Dear Science
Tom Waits - Small Change
The Roots - Things Fall Apart

Tchaikovsky's Ballet Suites - Berlin Philharmonic
Venetian Snares - Chocolate Wheelchair Album
Out of the Afternoon - Roy Haynes

Iron Maiden-Piece Of Mind. The guitar tone is a bit thin but apart from that it's great, especially Nicko's drumming

My favourite songs are: Where Eagles Dare, Sun and Steel.

Sepultura - A-Lex

And on order are the solo albums from Warrell Dane and Jeff Loomis from Nevermore.

The Verbs - Steve Jordan & Meegan Voss .... excellent stuff!

and October Road - James Taylor .. a fine Gadd moment!

Napalm Death - Time Waits For No Slave
Cannibal Corpse - Evisceration Plague.

Loving Evisceration Plague right now. It has a bonus DVD with footage from the studio recording of the album & the band members showing their collection of instruments which is quite interesting, especially watching the drummer collapse after playing a rediculously fast blast beat.

oasis-stop the clocks
RHCP-greatest hits

Well I just loaned:

Brian Eno and David Byrne - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts
and a Stockhausen retrospective (1952-60) from the University Library.

So far, so good.
