Bass Drum Pedal (beginner) - which one to buy?

He guys,

I want to buy my first double bass pedal, at the best price/quality ratio.

I was doubting wether to buy the Millenium PD-222, or the Gibraltar Hardware 6611DB Avenger II

Do you guys think I should pay a little more for the Avenger II?

Many thanks!

There's an old saying: "Try before you buy".

That way you won't blame us and we won't blame you for getting the wrong pedal.

PS: I'd say Gibraltar over Millenium. I think they have a good name as far as hardware is concerned, whereas Millenium is pretty much a budget-oriented brand.

Agreed. There's lots of debate all over about the 'best' pedal. Ignore all of it! Try as many as you can, make sure it'll last a while, and buying used is okay too. I use Speed Kings from the 60's, with a little refurbishment they work better than most other pedals I've tried at near every price point. A lot of pedals are over-engineered, practice makes you play faster, not pedals. [/RANT]
