I brought these home about a week before Christmas and was debating whether to shot pictures before or after I receive my additional drums, well here's the before shots. I'm still waiting on the 14" x 5" snare, 16" x 16" floor tom and either a 10" x 7" or a 13" x 9" rack tom.
The drums that are pictured are the Ludwig Classic Maple series in "white marine pearl" with a 20" x 16" bass drum. a 14" x 14" floor tom, and a 12" x 8" rack tom. The snare drum that I;'m using is a Tama 14" x 5 1/2" maple Artwood custom snare. The cymbals are Sabian Hand Hammered with 14" Dark hats, a 21" Vintage ride, a 16" Dark crash, an 18" Dark crash and this years Christmas present from Wanda, a 10" HH Duo splash. Sorry that there is a lot of stands and clutter in the pictures, but you can get the idea.
One of the main reasons that I bought these was basically sentimental in nature. My dad had a set of Ludwigs in this finish that he bought in Philadelphia in the late 1940s. He taught me how to play on that kit when I was 8. For many years I've been saying that I wanted a Ludwig set of drums in white marine pearl, now I have them, although the sizes of my kit are a bit smaller than my dads. I opted not to buy a 28" x 14" bass drum, lol.
Thanks for looking,
Dennis
