Show Me Your "Monster" Kits! (let's say... 7 piece and up)

Here's my current set up (11 drums)

Here's my "Hawaiian Frankenstein" setup a while before the current setup (varied from 12 drums to 20 drums). It's 2 kits in one (like Mike Portnoy when he was with Dream Theater):

Here's my "Hawaiian Frankenstein Mk. III" set up a little after the Mk II setup (varied from 21 drums to 25 drums). Same concept as before but I added a 3rd (electronic/acoustic hybrid) kit:

This kit is not my kit, but it belongs to a friend of mine, and I have the pleasure of playing it more times than any other kit I play. :p

Yes, I know, his toms don't all have the same heads. He couldn't get an 8" or an 18" Black Suede head at the time.

PDP X7 with a couple of Tama toms thrown in to fill things out:

I thought I'd gone overboard, but this thread makes me feel stripped down!

My new DWs and my old PDP kit fit this category I believe. :)

What are those heads your using on the toms on the first set? I like the floggy look and would you recommend them for rock/metal? I like a low sounding tom.

sweet kits by the way

Thanks! The heads I was using are the Evans EC2 coated batter heads on all of the toms. I would definitely recommend them for rock/metal because they give the drums a deep/warm tone. I'm actually using the EC2 SST clears on the DWs and like them a bit more because they allow the drums to really sing.

I'm gonna check those out, Thanks!

I'll bet all of those trees and rocks really appreciate your kit.

Can't wait to see a series on that kit as it frolics in the water on a Mexican beach at sunset or stretched out seductively under a Hawaiian water fall.

You went through all that trouble to make two, oops rooms for your kit. The least I could do is give mine a nice perch for its pics. :)

Re: Show Me Your "Monster" Kits!

After playing on a bigger kit, I can hardly imagine moving back down to a "standard" kit. Here's my Pearl Vision 7-piece!

I have finally made time to dig out some old pitures of my old "MONSTER" kit.

It was a 1992 Pearl World Series
