Beer delivery by a drone aircraft?

Coming to a backyard party near you via your smartphone.

OK. So you're on your way to a gig, but you left late and have no time, or desire considering the traffic, to pick up a sixer of Torpedos. No worries, just dial-a-drone and have Sierra Nevada beer delivered to your address.

Sounds like an interesting concept. It seems a little bit vulnerable to operate something like this in the city.

I would think MUSICIANS FRIEND could afford and make good use of a drone fleet.

Best idea ever.

Of all things to be delivered via drones, alcohol makes the most sense to me. Keeps people from driving to get more when they shouldn't be driving. Granted it could probably allow for a spike in alcohol poisonings...

Amazon previewed a drone delivery system prototype last month and I think it was limited to 5 pounds. Sounds like a new skeet shooting opportunity to me. Bring down the bird, enjoy the brew

Ha ha! That's the first thing I thought about. Sniping them out of the sky.

A twelve pack of bottles is a good amount of weight. It would take a fairly strong drone to lift that and carry it to the middle of a frozen lake for the ice fishermen.
