Help with acoustic drum triggers?

Hello,

I'm new to the whole acoustic drum triggering, but I've been wanting to trigger my bass drum for the longest time. I play in a death metal band and my band has finally rented out a studio where we can play. We purchased one of these the other day, Behringer Europower

I was wondering if its possible to connect an ION iDM02 24-bit Stereo Drum Machine w/ trigger inputs (which was originally for a small electric kit) to an acoustic bass drum trigger that would run through our p.a? I haven't purchased a drum trigger yet and was wondering if this set up would work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
if the ion brain has audio outputs that can connect to the europower (1/4" TS or balanced xlr) the answer to your question is YES. I'm not familiar with the Ion though, i think it's basically an entry level brain so your big issue is tracking your aftermarket acoustic trigger with it (it's specifically calibrated to work with ion pads). I don't know if the brain has adjustibility in regards to v-curve/ gain/ xtalk/ noise, etc
