Hi!
I´m new on this forum. I´m a quite experienced swedish drummer and I play mostly rock and pop music. I´looking fot a more punchy sound for my toms. I have a PDP bx( with original heads) 10,12, 14". Normaly I use pinstripe heads. Are these heads to prefere or are there others to recommend?

Pinstripes would probably work really well. Either that or Evans SST's with EC resonants. They really control the high end of the birch.

Definitely check out the Evans EC2 :: EC Reso comobo for a short sustain, punchy sound (but powerful). If you're looking for a bit more resonance, check out G1 clears for resos.

Cheers and welcome to the forum!

I normally don't have much of an opportunity to play birch shell drums, but my go to heads for rock and pop are Evans G2 clear over G1 clear heads with my maple kits. The most dampening I ever need from tom drum heads is the difference between a clear and a coated head and my desired tuning.
