Wow, areFish (Ryan), I think we could switch kits and barely notice a difference. Especially when I add another crash to my right side as planned. There aren't too many drummers who mount a cymbal between the rack toms in a 2-up, 1-down set-up.

I've got the same LP cowbell (not pictured) too. The Yamaha three hole receiver makes it easy to add a cymbal in that spot. I don't put anything bigger than a 14" cymbal in that spot. Sometimes I setup in an offset configuration too. Have you tried that?

This is my normal/medium actual lovely 4-piece kit...luckily I'm not a filthy richman ;-)

Actually, yes, I have tried that. It's a really flexible set-up.and I can play my small crash as a ride for a change-of-pace sound. You've got a great kit.
 
What cymbal are you using top left of the picture, the light makes it look like a beaut!
