I just got the rock ridge classic, and im trying to figure out if there is a spot i should be hitting it to get the best sound. Im mainly just using it for now for simple constant hitting like on 1,2,3, and 4.. nothing fancy.

It has lots of sounds, hit it all over see which you like and can use and which you can't. Learn to think more openly, instead of a snare drum having a snare drum sound think of all the different sounds on the drum.

You can ask her...

...or alternatively, you can ask Charlie :)

i think you should just get acquainted with it and hit it whenever. a cowbell is a very versatile piece of equipment and it'll work anywhere in the measure.

I would try to give a more depth explanation of how i use it.. but it's a difficult description and i don't feel like thinking a lot!

yep hit on 1,2,3,4 that will about do it. Hit that baby! a couple 1+ and 3+ too.

You likely noticed diffferent tones at front and back of bell, so at least 2 whole choices there. If its too loud some folks mute with tape or stuff something up there...a dirty sock.
