My METAL kit

My kit is a sound percussion 8-piece, and though inexpensive i find it just as good as mid range kits from the top companies. (at least the ones i played)

and with the heads i use it sounds great, but my room has horrible acoustic qualities.

Shells 8 ply basswood

Toms with Aquarian Performance II and stock rezo
10" x 8" rack
12" x 9" rack
13" x 10" rack

16" x 16" floor

Snare with Aquarian High Energy and stock rezo
14" x 5-1/2"

Bass with Aquarian super kick I on batter and Regulators for rezos
(2) 22" x 16"

Cymbals

Sabian b8
14" 16" and 18" crashes
10" splash
20" ride
14" hi-hats

Zildjian
18" ZBT china
1970's 20" Flat top ride

Hardware
Sound percussion stands
all cymball stands except for one are boom stands
Tama iron cobra juniors on the bass drums


It may not be a Pearl Tama or DW but i like it, if you don't then too bad =]

Nice. SP drums are as good as beginner kits come.

my only problem with it is i crank my snare to the max, and i am afraid it may crack or warp, but so far it is wonderful.

These and Tama rockstars are the best beginner kits I have ever heard.

My Rockstar sounds very close to a professional kit, just not made as carefully and lovingly lol

these i compared to a $1000 pdp set that i played at guitar center, with the right heads and tuning the SPs where just as good

Pearl Forum's are great too with the right heads and tuning.
