Hi all

I have a Ludwig vintage kit 1963 , the way I have it tuned is kind of a jazz krupa kind of sound .... I have looked at the bottom heads and they are aquarian snare heads ... and random other head i am going to take them off and replacing them with proper resonant heads .... can anyone reccomend any heads to maintain this sound ??

kindest regards

Nealios

aquarian classic clears will work great, although with the 63 ludwigs the aquarian vintage would look awesome as well as sounding great
.

Remo coated ambassadors would be my choice for vintage drums like that, or maybe a Remo Fiberskin head. Short of actually finding real calf skin, that's what I'd do. Clear heads didn't exist at the time those drums were made, so if you want to stick with the vintage vibe, don't put clears.

+1 on the Aquarian Vintage heads too.
