Evans Onyx 2-Ply Drum Heads

Ok. So, im considering getting Evans onyx 2ply batter heads. I've heard they have a great sound! (Plus they have an awesome matte black coat. Great for a different look and feel.) Anyway, I just want to know if anyone could supply me with some reviews. Possibly some things like this: description of sound, and possibly a song where the toms sound a lot like the sound these give, possibly some pictures of your set if you use them. Anything about them would help me. Thank you very much :D

Hey, thanks to both of you. But, one question im DYING to know: do they make an onyx snare head? Because I'm in love with that matte black look. But, I want a snare to match.. And I never found one. I need 14" snare batter. Know of one? Wether its a different brand or something, id like evans, but I want black. (Preferably one that sounds good too haha) thanks!

Ok cool. But, I generally shop on Guitarcenter.com or Musiciansfriend.com and I can't find it on there D: only the tom heads. Can't use a 14" tom head right? Not the same?
 
The snare and tom versions of the Onyx heads are different.

I would recommend calling up you preferred retailer and having them order one for you. Guitar Center and Musician's Friend can order these.

I have been an EVANs guy for a longgggg time. But I did purchase an Aquarian Black Hi-Velocity coated snare batter head with their Z-100 coating on it. The coating was twice as rough as Evans, I love it.
