Post your not-so- top-40 retro clip of the day

Excited about this thread.

Abe, I was just thinking of SB's Venus the other day and how Bananarama with that wretched Stock Aitken & Waterman team murdered a great tune.

I first heard the original on my first ever LP - 20 Dynamic Hits. Here's another old classic from that album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkqfpkTTy2w ... classic drummer choke right at the start :)

Hoo yeah JB, I always liked Genesis with Peter Gabriel best.

Ian, funny how in the B52s clip she bumps her mic at about 1:00 and has a little smirk to herself.

Here's some serious retro, complete with fabulous psychedelic set ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpizS9h-1Xk. Note the extended organ solo - in a hit song. Only in the 60s ...

This is an odd one. Though I love all kinds of music, this tune was from a band called Sneaker. It cracked the Top 40 in 1981 (?) for a few weeks but I recall it on the radio a lot and it was one of those early teen full of hormones kind of song that you couldn't resist. Loved the harmonies. The band was produced or founded or whatever I think by Steely Dan's Jeff Skunk Baxter. They went nowehere after this mild hit. Sappy but I liked it.

I wonder if any west coasters recall this tune. I think they were from California?? Anway enjoy (and don't hate me...)

David Byron left, he was the singer of this amazing band, one of the best voice in rock IMO :))

I agree. Does anyone remember if Uriah Heep and Wishbone Ash toured together in the early 70s? I saw Wishbone Ash but I can't remember who else was on the bill. Actually I can barely remember seeing WA. lol
