Roland V-drums TD-30K vs. TD-30KV

I'm in the market for a new e-kit, and I love the Roland v-drums but I can't really figure out the differences between the td-30K vs. td-30KV. What don't you get in the 30K that you get with the KV, and what will I really notice in the sound? I know the KV comes with more drums, and is better looking overall. But price is definitely a factor.

I will be using it mainly for practice and recording some high quality tracks, I don't see myself ever gigging with it (but ya never know...).

Planning on picking a new/like new one up via craigslist or eBay. Thanks.

Quite a few articles on this but the best one is on the vdrum forum. Check that out for sure.

I have played both. The major differences are the hihats (VH-13 on the KV), the silver cymbals (seriously it did make a difference to me), the additional floor tom, the frame and some other bits. I found by playing them I preferred the KV. I'm such a shallow chap that I may have been influenced by the cost, but I really thought the KV was a leap forward.

Anyway check out vdrums.com and see for yourself.

Cheers
Davo
