To me this is the most classic/stunning Sonor finish ever - looks equally great as is, a bit lighter, or a bit darker. This graining also looks superb in various stains. To me it comes across as real, direct, warm, cozy and just noble.

Thank you for the kind words. I also think that your new kit is equally inspiring. What I enjoy about Sonor drums is that they are also works of art in their own right. This kit I played in in this configuration at my last gig which was actually in a small theater. For me its a warmer and more classier finish than my ProLites which I consider my "hot rod" kit. Also the S Classix are very focused because of the birch shells.

Hi guys this is a Sonor exTreme series.
Not a high end model or Sonor but it still sounds much better then my previous kits.

The only drum that is not Sonor here is my Snare.

Feel free to ask about anything in the pics!

SebassFR.
You have impeccable taste. My compliments. Mehmets are wonderful, aren't they.

Wonderful. S Classix drums are stunning. I also like your tribal kit. You can't beat Sonor shells.

Thanks! You also have quite the amazing collection yourself. I am thinking about getting the Phonic re-issue snare drum. Do you think its worth it?

Currently I have these Sonor snares:

SQ2 in Cottonwood configuartion
Benny Greb

Mapex:
Mapex Black panther birch 14"x6"

I have not seen a Phonic re-issue. I do not know the age of the shells. As you may know, Sonor has a secret room apparently full of old shells. Are the re-issues made from older shells? I don't know. I do know that the older shells, such as that used in my 70's drum, was high quality beech. Apparently priced out of reach today.

I do however trust Sonor. Such a re-issue of an important drum must be good. I too have considered buying a 14x6 re-issue. Right now I am searching for an old Phonic kit.

Let me know what you decide.

Advice for selling?

I need some advice for selling my drum kit.

It is a Sonor 5 peice Force 2001 drum kit. Minimal wear and tear on the heads, actual drums are in good condition.

I am also including my cymbals, stands, and throne as well. My cymbals are Zildjian ZBT package, pair of high hats, and ride cymbal. Also bought a Zildjian http://www.worldmusicsupply.com/Zild...FQiqnQodEx4AFA cymbal with a stand.

What do you think guys, am I more likely to sell these guys on Craigslist as a whole package, or individually for more $$?

Thanks for the help!

Ho-ly WOW!! This (and your Walnut kit) really look awesome!!!
This Red & Black finish looks cool in either low or bright light too....and my two favorite kit colors haha!

These kits just look like they'd sound awesome.

I like Sonor's floor tom leg design, and the bass drum spurs just always looked great to me. Really solid and sturdy, but not clunky or too heavy looking.

Sweet skull rug too :)

This is at least 50% Sonor so it counts...
