Random Idea

Ok, so I was sitting down playing on my keyboard and I imagine something that sounds like something Niel Peart would use. I was thinking, "What if you added a keyboard to a drumset and had pads suspended above the keys that, when hit, would trigger a chord or a single note (I think a chord would be much cooler)."

This was a random idea that may work. Maybe one of you could try it, as I don't have the time nor patience too do something like this.

What are your thoughts on this?

Neil Part occasionally triggers chords live. When Rush plays "Roll the Bones" live, several of the keyboard hits are actually from Neil hitting pads, not Geddy.
