Thanks, Dennis. RIP.

Thanks, Dennis. RIP.
My goodness, I've only just learn't of this terrible accident. I'm a long time admirer of Dennis' work, and was only communicating with him a few weeks ago. A humble craftsman of passion. I hope the drumming community pulls together to ensure Dennis' business continues under Britney's stewardship. This really has upset me. RIP Dennis.

Here's my custom snare. A Joyful Noise 6.5x14 legacy maple snare drum. Made from reclaimed 200 year old wood, it sounds awesome!

Hello, my name is Anthony. I want to show you my 1963 (maple wood I believe) Slingerland customized 28" bass drum. My sister painted the picture for me by simply looking at the illustration (from my old copy of the first KIng Crimson album of course) then she made me a huge adhesive decal. Back in the 60's this drum was used as a marching drum, but now it is my main bass drum on my very sparse drum kit. I only use this bass drum, an old 1950's era snare, a Pearl floor tom and a few cymbals.I call this drum 'KING' because of the picture and because of the huge 28" size. I've been playing drums for about 35 years now. Thank you for looking!

Nice! A fellow Risen Drums guy! Did you just get this kit, or was it for sale recently?: I swar, I have seen an ad for it.

....well,I'm seeing your question almost a year later......

Picked these up about a year and a half ago......love 'em

Here's the latest one from Bellwether! It's a 14X6.5 made out of bolivian rosewood it has maple and zebrawood re-rings and a modified and polished Trick strainer with zircote cap and knob for the strainer. This is easily the most sensitive snare drum that I have ever made.

And another great looking snare! Nice work!

I call her Fatal Attraction as those spikey lugs can hurt!!!)

Holy Moly. I think my knees would be bloody after a show.

That's some scary green medieval thing to put in front of the family jewels.

Since somebody recently resurrected this thread, and since I put together a minimal set up of my Tamburo Original mutenye stave set after some home renewal activities, I decided to post a few pictures of that kit. The kit was built in 1991 but, in my humble opinion, it still looks very modern. Drums are a 16" x 22" bass drum, an 8" x 10" tom and a 14" x 14" floor tom. The snare is also a stave drum, i.e. a 6.5" x 13" Tamburo Original maple, where the original Tamburo lugs have been substituted by Volume Drums lugs (Volume Drums is the company Tullio Granatello founded after he left Tamburo).
Cymbals in these pictures are Zildjian K.
Maybe I will open a thread about that kit once I will set it up in its completeness (the entire kit also has an 8" x 12" tom and a13" x 13" floor tom).
