Rock Band and open-handed playingI play

I played Rock Band for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I noticed the hihat pad is to the RIGHT of the snare pad. What's up with that?!? For the first time ever, I had to cross my hands to play hats and ride and it was as awkward as heck.

On the plus side, I see this game introducing many people to the benefits of open-handed playing. I just wish the pads could be reassigned - can they?

there's a "lefty mode." when you're playing a song, press start and you can select lefty mode. this switches everything over to the other side. Im guessing you lead with you left, so the blue pad would be the hat and the green would be the snare.
