What a voice. Didn't know much of her personal life except what was portrayed in the movie "Cadillac Records", and her recent medical problems.
Her time in hell was up. Thank you for everything Etta, your voice is part of the culture, so you did good.
Didn't know she felt that way about Beyonce lol.

Seriously a damn shame. I really got into her stuff a few years back and she was still able to belt it properly. Regarding the Beyonce thing, I recall reading an interview some where and she had stated the the only good cover of "I'd Rather Go Blind" was the one Rod Stewart did.
