We've had a thread about favourite alcohol highs, and we've had a thread about songs referencing bands or musicians.
Listening to a Joe Bonamassa performance of a Rory Gallagher song this weekend, I realised that there's a lot of music about booze. It's slightly ironic, and a bit sad when you realise how many people who sang about demon liquor were carried off by it.
Sloe Gin - Rory Gallagher
One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer - John Lee Hooker
You Know I'm No Good - Amy Winehouse (references Tanqueray gin and Stella Artois beer)
Tequila - The Champs
Red Red Wine - Neil Diamond/UB 40
All I Wanna Do - Sheryl Crow ("I like a beer buzz, but it's early in the morning")
Have Some Madeira M'Dear - Flanders and Swann (I'd bet money that Madge knows this one!)
Bottoms up!
