Gave up on finding the Artstar II's in these crazy sizes when I found this kit. Birch shells in 15x14, 18x16, & 24x16. I also received my Tama long snare wires today to finish off my 14x8 Superstar snare. Next on my list is hardware then cymbals.

Thanks! The kits in good shape, I have dated it to late 1985. The bass hoops are pretty nicked up I am wondering if I should try to touch them up or just leave them as is. This kit is a beast!

WOW Neat drums, man!!! 1000% rock n' roll.

Now all you've gotta do is find two other guys and make a Nirvana tribute band. Hehe.

You from Virginia? I saw a set that I think was just like that on Craigslist recently. I was very tempted by it.

More than likely going to be picking up a DW 9000 single pedal soon. I am also working with my local drum retailer (Long Island Drum Center) to locate a 24" Black Tama Logo front bass drum head with the 10" center hole. Not an easy thing to find!

Guitar Center came through with a special order from Tama for me!

24" Logo head with 10" center port!!!!

Now the hunt for a used DW 5000 or 9000 single bass pedal. Maybe a Christmas present for myself lol

I think I am going to go a different direction than Dave Grohl and do Paiste 2002 15" Wild hats, 18" & 20" Wild crashes and 24" 2002 Ride. Still on the fence between those and Zildjian A's. I want to replicate his "In Utero" kit as close as I can but add some of my personal touches to it as well.

Well I went the Paiste route. Just got my 2oo2 24" Ride and DW9700 boom stand today. I am in no rush and am picking deals as I find them. I need to move these bad boys out of my bedroom and into a decent space.... but where?
