Drum/Cymbal rack

Had a Pearl Icon, Yamaha Super Rack & Hex Rack and now on a custom Gibraltar stealthrack:

I use the pearl icon rack. There are PC-10 clamps, which fit tama style thinner tubes, and PC-50 clamps which suit the bigger tubes like those on the mapex tom holders. I just swapped from Tama to Mapex and the PC-50's fit the mapex TH684's fine.

The icon saves space on the floor too- we play loads of smaller venues and a small footprint is a very good thing. I'll post some pics of the new mapex saturns when I get round to taking them

anyone have experience with the drum frame rack that bob gatzen designed?

I think it's a cool concept just not a realistic one if you are a gigging drummer from the looks of it. I can't even imagine how pricey that thing is either. Be the cost goes waaaaay beyond what the yamaha hex rack system did and that was pricey!

I'd say the pearl is a great option as well as the yamaha hex rack (been discontinued but you can find good deals on ebay on the tubes and clamps.)
