Has anyone used R.I.M.S. mounts on Yamaha MCA's?

A friend of mine has developed a very ingenious way of mounting drums. He tested one of his mounts on a yamaha drum with the Y.E.S.S. mounting system and although Yamaha says that their system allows the drum to resonate to its fullest, the yamaha drum with his mounting system on it opened up considerably more. This intrigued me and since his system is still in the prototype phase, I wondered if anyone has gone with R.I.M.S. mounts on a maple custom absolute kit and if they noticed any difference in increased resonance. Anyone?

I assume you mean Gauger RIMS mounts? I use those and I love them. Lots of manufacturers have their own versions and I haven't worked with anything else, though.
