Danmar double metal kick pad

I've been looking into getting a Danmar double metal kick pad to add definition to my bass drum sound. I play with the plastic side of my beaters and I was wondering if the plastic hitting the metal kick pad will mess up my plastic beaters?

For those of you that use this metal kick pad what do you like and dislike about it?

No one? From what I know these pads are pretty popular.

ive used these quites a few times in the past, i have the pearl foursided beaters and danmar redwood beaters and the pad did nothing to them .....but.....

i have found that the pads will not stay stuck to your bass skin for very long, seems they are too heavy. but i switched over to the gibraltar graphite click pad, gets you the same sound, stays put, and lasts forever and its quite a bit cheaper than the danmar.
