OK, here's a favorite sixties instrumental, also creditied with being the first "British Invasion Rock record" :"Telstar" by The Tornados
Also liked "Sex & Drugs & Rock and Roll" - Ian Dury and The Blockheads. These cats were fantastic musicians, I have two albums. They are still out there without Mr. Dury who has passed on.
Early sixties: "The Big Hurt" By Miss Toni Fisher, was the first popular record to use "phase" in 1960. Another phased record popped up as "Itchygoo Park" by The Small Faces
Phasing in those days was first done by playing pack to exact copies of the recording just miliseconds appart which produced this effect. Later great recording engineers began to phase only certain tracks within a master.
Some More Favorites:
"Good Old Rock and Roll" Cat Mother & The All Night Newsboys. Really a medley of fifties R&R songs.
"They're Coming To Take Me Away Ha Haaa" Napolian IV
"Jungle Fever" AKA "The Orgasim Song" by La Cuckarogis (Mispelled I'm sure)
OH, I could go on forever!
