Last batch. The kit is not complete yet. I'm still planning to add more Gibraltar booms and new crashes:)

Great looking set, I like the matte finished lugs. Nice finish too. Do I dare ask the cost?

You're a real satin worshipper. :)

Is the snare satin? The rest of the kit looks like lacquer, unless I'm missing something...

I have a Tama kit in Turquoise Satin, and the satin finish is like almost 3D, and doesn't have the "solid" appearance of these drums. Either way, great looking kit!

I think he's referring to the satin chrome hardware which is absolutely beautiful.

Hahahahahaha. I was so busy trying to look at the shells and figure out what the heck he was talking about that I never even looked at the hardware. Go me. Thanks, man. Yeah, it is gorgeous hardware.

gorgeous kit !! are the die-cast hoops standard or after-market ?

Thanks for the nice comments guys! The satin hardware was available some time ago, when I custom ordered this BRX. Unfortunately Pearl decided to stop making it, therefore it's quite unique:)

Aaand you guys wanted specs:
BRX Masters Studio Vintage Sunburst / satin hardware.

17" and 18" Paiste Twenty thin crashes (thinking of replaceming them tho)
16" Meinl Byzance trad china
21" Meinl Byzance dark ride
12" Meinl Gen-X Safari Hats (not shown in setup)

Hardware;
Mixture of Gibraltar and Pearl stands
Pearl P2002B Eliminator, which WILL be replaced by the new Demondrive pedal.

Toms; Clear emperors over clear diplomats.
Bassdrum; Powersonic on batter, PS3 Coated on reso.
Snare; Black suede emperor batter, clear ambassador reso.

Beatiful kit:) How do you like the Donati snare?

Thanks guys!

It's a very versatile snare. Tuned low, it gives you a nice thwack. I prefer it tuned a little higher tho, increasing the volume and crack of the rimshots. Imo one of the most versatile snares Pearl makes these days

Striking finish and set. Good use of hardware - fewer stands, more stuff on each stand. I like smaller toms and the 10 incher over the large bass drum gives the kit some attitude. I think I like satin hardware more than chrome.

I am not too fond of the Optimount system as it seems clunky and the black finish is out of place, but I'm sure it functions well.

Thanks alot! I'm planning to add more of those Gibraltar boom/puppybone combo's in the future. It seems to be working out very well for me so far, it's sturdy as hell, the hardware you have to carry to gigs is alot less, and so on and so on.

About the Optimounts, I'm still not satisfied with them. They take away too much resonance. I'm still searching for a nice alternative, but I can't seem to find any. I was planning to check out the Gauger RIMS, but I wonder if they could really improve the resonance. Do you perhaps have any ideas or suggestions?
