Ok, Some of you may have seen my recent posts about this topic. but I am thinking about making my purchase tomorrow possibly. I'm still not 100% sure about this. I like their look, and I hear they sound great, my heads now (Evans G1 non-coated) are completely beat up. I'm talking scratches and dents. PLEASEEEE someone tell me I'm making a good choice here. If you are going to ask what type of music i play; I do a lot of Blink182,Greenday,FallOutBoy,A Day To Remember, etc. I do a lot of drumming on my toms (I love to do cool fills and fun bridges.) I just want to be assured that this is a good buy. -- Also, I wanted a matching snare, and I order from Musiciansfriend.com, they dont have the onyx snare. So, I was told to check out the Hi-Velocity Black Aquarian Snare Batter. Someone give me some GOOOOD feedback please! I could really use it! I'll link the URLs of the items below so you can check em out.

For the style you're playing, I think the Onyx are an excellent choice. They are very dark and sound best when tuned very low IMHO. They will lose tone after awhile, but are among the most durable heads on the market.

The Onyx heads are definitely extremely durable, dark (in sound and aesthetic!) and shorter in sustain. The greater attack is also desireable for the type of music that you seem to be playing. Happy shopping and be sure to post a photo when you get fresh heads on the kit :)

EvansSpecialist, you've helped me greatly with all of my annoying posts haha. Thank you so much. They shipped this morning, I will definately post them as soooon as I get them and put them on. Also, I didn't go with the snare for it. I went with Aquarian Hi-Velocity Black Batter that someone recommended. Thanks a million though. Couldn't thank you enough. :D

Any time! I'm on these boards to help out as much as possible and to hear what people have to say. What kind of a company would we be if we didn't bother to keep our ear to the ground and help out our fellow drummers?

Cheers!
