Riffs That Make You Go "Oooh..."

I decided to make this because I was listening to one of my favorite [guitar] riffs of all time, and I would love to know what everyone's favorite riffs may be.

At this moment, my favorite is the last quarter or so of this live recording of Muse's "Knights of Cydonia". Great guitar in general, loads of triplets, but this recording in particular really stood out to me.

(Starts around 5:04, if you just want to get to the goods. It's even in HD!)

Whenever I think riff, I think Pantera. Cowboys from hell and Cemetery Gates have always seemed like "Ooohh" riffs.

i really like the animal i have become by 3 days grace....i dont care what anyone says, that riff is rockin.

also i think of Heartbreaker, Re-align by Godsmack, In my time of dying, when the levee breaks, oh man there are so many amazing zeppelin riffs....Bat out of hell by meatloaf...

OHHH and Touche by Godsmack....
ohhhh yesss....

i cant not bob my head to this song, its physically impossible.

"Cannon" by the White Stripes.

And the first riffs in "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin and "5 on the 5" by the Raconteurs are especially amazing.

Iron Man, Children of the grave - Black Sabbath.
Sunshine of your love - Cream.
Smoke on the water - Deep Purple.
You've got another thing comin' - Judas Priest.
Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin.
Back In Black, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - AC/DC.
Thunder Kiss '65 - White Zombie.
Creeping Death - Metallica.
Shock Me - KISS.
Thunder & Lightning - THIN LIZZY.
Voodoo Child - Jimi Hendrix.
.....and so on.

One of my favorites is Hysteria by Muse.
Muse forever. I'm with you on that one.

zzdrummer-
While I haven't heard much from Platypus, I myself am a Flobots fan. Saw them live. EPIC.

GD and iwilliams-
I'm glad you guys brought those older ones up, Motown and Classic Rock riffs don't get enough credit around here!

Man, I am jealous. I have only youtube'd Platypus because the one copy I have ever seen was on Ebay for $150 which I decided was ridiculous for seven songs. From what I have heard it is great though.

Hottentot - John Scofield

Cissy Strut is undeniably an insanely catchy and funky guitar riff.

I always loved the riff in "Root" by The Deftones as well.

Wow man, Hottentot is an insane track! I love Martin Medeski Wood and Scofield, but I don't have that album I only have Chank. And of course Cissy Strut is a great song.

I don't know if it's technically a riff, but Paranoid Android by Radiohead is one of my favorites.
