Re: INTRODUCTIONS - Please use this thread to introduce yourself
real name: Scott Deming
age: 23
how long been playing: since I was 7, so 16 years
origin of user name: I'm in the Army and desperately trying to make cut-off points for Sergeant, and drumming is my life so put them together BAM! SGT Drummer. That and my typical gamertag of "Breasticles" wouldn't really make sense on here.
top 5 drummers: Buddy Rich, John Theodore, Tony Royster Jr., Neil Peart, and Travis Barker
make of drumkits: Right now I have a 7 piece Pearl Studio Session set that isn't in production anymore. Towards the end of the year I'm looking to pick up a smaller kit to drag around for practicing. Probably going to be either Gretsch or Ddrum.
make of cymbals: ZILDJIAN FTW!!! I like basically all cymbals, I prefer Zildjians and primarily own them, but I also have a few Sabians and Paiste.
where do you practice: Right now, on my leg, on a desk, on anything that makes noise. I'm in Iraq so I don't have a drumset here I can play, but when I get home it will be in me and my cousin's studio.
are you in a band: Not anymore unfortunately. Soon as I get out of the Army this is basically my top priority. Well, after minor things like school, a job, etc.
what style of music: Typically rock or alt. rock. The last band I was in was described as "Mindless bar rock". But I can play just about anything.
one really odd fact about yourself: I'm paid to kill people. Isn't the government great!
how did you start drumming: I started before 4th grade. My mom mentioned something to me aboutt joining the school band. I had originally picked out a flute, but thank god I switched shortly after to the drums. And I have been hooked every since.
