I've been drumming on and off for about 5 years. i haven't been getting any better and this is directly due to the fact that I do not have a drum set at my house. I live in a town home and keep my acoustic kit at a friends house.
I am 17 years old and maybe could spend around 2,000 max. I've seen the main brands are Roland, Alesis, Simmons, Pearl, and Yamaha. What would you recommend for 2,000 and under, I need to be able to practice, have good realistic sound, and I would like to be able to record with it.
Here are the sets that I think fit me best
Roland TD-9SX: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Roland-TD-9SX-Electronic-Drum-Set-491359-i2023269.gc
Alesis DM10 Studio: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Alesis-DM10-Studio-Drum-Kit-105956031-i1522247.gc
Simmons SD9K: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Simmons-SD9K-Electronic-Drum-Set-483503-i1401445.gc
Recommend a set to me, and tell me why you like it.
