Hey dig, not only did I see the Lovin' Spoonful when I was a kid, I snuck backstage and hung out with them. Really nice guys. I think their guitar player was named Zack.

Oh man - The Spoonful! John Sebastian was a great songwriter and early on the guitar player was Zal Yanowsky not Zack ... i think he left & was replaced before they split right? Top band ... my fave Feel Good Songs from the Lovin' Spoonful (could start a whole thread here!):
