TM2 is a great piece of equipment... I don't use it for triggering tracks, but for samples, absolutely.

One thing to check with the TM2 Is what the maximum sample size it can support is... if you are trying to trigger 'parts' instead of 'samples', you need to make sure it can play a 30 second (for example) sample. The user manual should help you here. Other than that, it's an awesome piece of gear, small, cheap, reliable, battery/wall-powered and has all of the awesome Roland triggering features.
