bow making - yet anothert weird project

i once made a great bamboo bow that could shoot more than 100 metres. so now, at least 20 years later i decided to make another bow. i sat scratching my noodle for a while trying to decided what materials to use. then i found some old skis at a charity shop for £10 and with just a drill, a sanding machine, an electric saw, various files and a lot of elbow grease i finished it today. cost me maybe £30 in total. now all i need are some arrows.
here follows the sequence.
has anybody else done something like this?

Yes, very cool. You're obviously a resourceful man with hidden talents.

In both other areas of my life, & in drum making, I'm a big fan of recycling old timber. It really is the best feeling, & also the best result. Old wood rules!

I try and convert lunchboxes or lawn statues into synthesis by putting electronic guts into them. Well, technically, I am procurring the materials to do such. Law gnomes aren't cheap.
