Speed Cobra?

Alright. I've been browsing through and I don't see much on them.

I think they are just sexy. I would appreciate the long board. Just a question, they are at a music store here for $175 (single) each. I'd buy two of them, is this a steal?

I see them around for at least $200 more, so why are they so cheap? Are they any good compared to say Mapex or Iron Cobra?

Thanks.

I just picked up a Speed Cobra recently. Its a nice pedal. I'm still tinkering with it, but the verdict so far is "good not great". There's nothing I can do on this pedal that I can't do on my Yamaha Flying Dragon. Its built really well and its quick, but I have not experienced the "wow" factor with this thing that I've read many people talk about.

I own one since November and really like it, I sold my Eliminators. It's not stated very clear, but it has a pretty long footboard, nwhich I prefer. Even a bit longer than an Axis longboard (I own one).

I tried one, I wasn't keen. I think if you took the coil out they'd be much better. There was just something about it I didn't like but some people swear by them so try them if you can. The Mapex Falcon is a cracking pedal as I own one and I've owned the Iron Cobra too which to me at the time was the best no doubt. I've learnt my lesson and you shouldn't really buy a pedal without trying it first.

Hey guys.

I guess these things are really hard to find here! Called at least 8 music stores in the city, only one store had one in. I went there, bought it, and put a deposit on another that should be here within a few days from a store up north, (about 350KM's). I set the one I have now up, and woah. I love it.

Also, the beater is crap; I replaced mine with IC felts...

That's true, I had the felt beater worn out in about 6 weeks!

I went back to my trusty old Yamaha flying dragon for the rehearsal today, and it felt more comfortable to be honest. I'm gonna put my Speed Cobra for sale, maybe see if I can trade it for a regular IC or DW 9000.
