I would steer well clear of the Raptor. My friend had one and returned it the next day as he broke it after only a short while. The problem is with the single support for the main axle of the right side beater. Most pedals have two supports, and the pedals that do have only one (Demon Drive, some DW's) are built a lot tougher and with a much better design. I think the music stores here even stopped selling them after my friend broke his. I haven't tried the DD Intruder, but I've seen a chain drive one that didn't take much punishment before giving out. This model would be at a guess, three years old, so it may have been updated by now.
