I've noticed a few things of late about YouTube linking that some might find useful:
1. Shorter links:
Let's take this YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1h1oR...eature=related
It's pretty long and messy and a fair bit of it is unnecessary. All you need is the stuff before the ampersand (&). So this smaller, cleaner link will take you to the same place: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1h1oRP7FfBw
2. Sending someone to a specific moment in a video
Say you want to just point out the great sax solo in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV-lBswnEvE
. It's at about 3:18.
The link would be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV-lBswnEvE#t=3m16s
All you do is add a hash #=3m18s to the end of the URL.
If anyone else has some tips (including uploading / editing / etc), this might be a good place to post them.
