Interesting.

It does a good job showing the evolution of the various sub-geners, and how they relate relative to each other.

I wanted to dislike it, because I was thinking great, it will re-enforce the idea that bands are only one sub-genre, re-enforce the idea that all bands must be pigeon holed into one neat little box.

But reading the text of each sub-genre, the author does mention here and there that some sub-genre's may only be a song or single-album specific for a particular artist, and some bands may be found in more than one category.

So, good job.

And I'm digging there are audio examples. I could be here all day listening to bands I'm not familiar with.
