At the Drive-In is one of my favorite bands of all time, and Tony's sound was a big part of that. If you're looking to elevate to that, I would get a copy of 'Superunknown' by Soundgarden, and lift as many of Matt Cameron's chops as you can. You'll be able to apply those across the board if you're playing loud rock-and-roll. Also, check out ...and You Will Know Us by the Trail Of Dead, especially their record Source Tags and Codes. They keep the drums simple, but they could dig out a trench with the sound they get. Enjoy!
