More than likely he used Zildjians in the 1970's, he started using Paiste cymbals in October 1982, according to the Paiste site. Liked how he had all his crashes and ride all on his right, and a lone china cymbal to the left, over his concert toms and hi-hat. If you watch "Elvis on Tour" or the "Aloha" TV special after a rather explosive break or at the end of a powerful song he smacks that cymbal like crazy, it's awesome!
