I recently went through a phase of purposely taking a MAJOR set backwards. We all get so caught up in trying to play really "advanced" stuff (odd time signatures, left foot clave, etc.), that we take things that we think we know for granted.

So I spent the better part of a year working with Jojo Mayer's "Secret Weapons..." DVD (the first disc), EVERY DAY. I've been drumming for 22 years. I know the Gladstone and Moeller techniques. But sitting there and watching Jojo break it down into it's smallest parts and doing it along with him at agonizingly slow tempos made a MASSIVE difference in my playing. The "advanced" stuff improved just by working on the basics. I highly recommend it.

I don't know what the rating system is here, but I give it a 5/5, 10/10, 5 stars, two thumbs up, whatever it is.
