They are of course made of rubber. I would go to the auto-supply store and buy some Westley's Bleche-White and clean them like you would clean a car tire. Do it outside though as the fumes are strong. Then finish by treating them with some 303 Aerospace Protectant. 5 Minutes and they will look like they are better than brand new.
