Not sure about Skyntone's and bubbling. The only Remo head I purposely purchase is the Fiberskyn for the snare, which as I say, isn't too often since about 80% of the time I use a coated G1.

Do you have a metal or wood snare?
I have both, but the one that I'm working on right now is a ludwig acrolite. Believe it or not, I think it is warmer than my maple one and it is a hell of a lot drier so I don't have to use any dampening in small rooms.
