Re: Drummers who've inspired your playing
I'd like to think I take something from every drummer I watch. My biggest influences on playing are Jean-Paul Gaster, John Bonham, and Bobby Schayer.
I learned something that I'll probably use until I die, or can no longer play drums. Thomas Lang talked, in a video, about playing dynamically. He went over the importance of switching from heel up to heel down playing in the same songs because you could conserve energy, in addition to accents and what not.
